Stylized Character Integration

Stylized Character Integration and Scene Design in Illustrator

A) Image Analysis

Choose one of the two provided source graphics. Analyze its use of shapes and colors.
Pay attention to:

  • The style of illustration
  • The color palette (e.g. flat, bright, muted, gradients, etc.)
  • The types of shapes used (geometric, organic, abstract…)

B) Character Sketch

Create at least one human character in a hand-drawn sketch.
This figure must match the style of the chosen source graphic (in terms of form, simplification, proportions, etc.).

C) Digital Implementation in Illustrator

  • Import the chosen source graphic into a new Adobe Illustrator document.
  • Extend the format if needed to make space for your additions.
  • Use your hand-drawn character as a reference and recreate it digitally in Illustrator using appropriate tools and shapes.

D) Scene Expansion

Add contextual elements that fit the setting of the original graphic.
Examples may include:

  • Furniture
  • Training equipment
  • Architecture
  • Posters or decorations

Focus on a harmonious composition that fits visually and conceptually with the original graphic.
