Project: Create a Cyborg with Photoshop
In this project, I used Photoshop to design a cyborg – a hybrid of a human and a machine.
Starting with a computer-generated profile of a human head, I expanded the canvas to 1600 x 1200 px (landscape) to give myself enough space for creative composition.
I added at least 10 technical elements (such as screws, tubes, wires, and springs) to visually transform the human head into a believable blend of organic and mechanical parts. These elements were sourced by me and organized in a separate folder as required.
A key focus was on realistic lighting and spatial depth. I worked with shadows, highlights, and consistent light direction to create a sense of three-dimensionality and integration between the human and machine components.
The final result was submitted as both a .psd file (with all layers intact) and a .jpg version for presentation.
