Christmas Card

Design a Christmas Card with Cut-Out Stencil Elements

Create a Christmas card that features a holiday-themed design using cut-out shapes (stencil style).

Objective:

Design festive elements such as poinsettias, snowflakes, Christmas ornaments, stars, or similar — in a way that they can be cut out of the card using a stencil technique.

Important Notes:

  • Your design must function as a stencil:
    • All parts must remain connected to the card
    • Avoid creating any floating or unsupported pieces that would fall out when cut
  • Use only solid shapes (no gradients or effects)
  • Choose a balanced composition that fits well on a card format (e.g., A6 or square)

Tips:

  • Think in positive and negative space
  • Use Illustrator’s Pathfinder tools to help combine or subtract shapes
  • Keep lines and details bold and easily cuttable
