– Or How I Turned the Remote Control Into a Workout Machine
Gym? Too expensive. Jogging? Too exhausting. But don’t worry—I’ve discovered the perfect workout: it’s called “Everyday Fitness”!
The star of my training plan? The remote control. It’s always at the other end of the couch, sometimes on the coffee table, just out of reach. So I stand up and do my first set of “Remote Dips.” Sit down, grab it, lean back. Repeat until my arm gets tired.
And then there are the stairs! My personal nemesis. Who needs a treadmill when you can sprint up seven flights of stairs carrying heavy grocery bags? I call this the “Supermarket Sprint.” Bonus points: on every floor, I imagine my neighbors are admiring me. At least that’s what I tell myself as I huff and puff up the stairs.
My fridge is my personal gym, by the way. Just the walk to it burns a few calories, trust me. And the snacks? Those are my reward—a kind of “post-workout protein shake,” except mine’s usually chips.
Tomorrow’s workout is “Snack Sprinting”: multiple runs from the couch to the kitchen to restock the snack supply. Sounds effective, right?
So, dear fitness gurus, forget expensive classes and high-tech machines—try my everyday workout! It’s cheap, fun, and the remote control will never be the same again.
