Stylized Character Integration and Scene Design in Illustrator
A) Image Analysis
Choose one of the two provided source graphics. Analyze its use of shapes and colors.
Pay attention to:
- The style of illustration
- The color palette (e.g. flat, bright, muted, gradients, etc.)
- The types of shapes used (geometric, organic, abstract…)
B) Character Sketch
Create at least one human character in a hand-drawn sketch.
This figure must match the style of the chosen source graphic (in terms of form, simplification, proportions, etc.).
C) Digital Implementation in Illustrator
- Import the chosen source graphic into a new Adobe Illustrator document.
- Extend the format if needed to make space for your additions.
- Use your hand-drawn character as a reference and recreate it digitally in Illustrator using appropriate tools and shapes.
D) Scene Expansion
Add contextual elements that fit the setting of the original graphic.
Examples may include:
- Furniture
- Training equipment
- Architecture
- Posters or decorations
Focus on a harmonious composition that fits visually and conceptually with the original graphic.
